Whenever he calls, it seems to take longer than "normal" for the
handshake to complete (I use TrapDoor frontend), and when he reaches the
logon screen, his modem seems to pause, (buffer over run perhaps???). He's
d/ling to HD not floppy like another user (now using ram: with him).

He's using Comit Lite by te way.

I've managed by hit and miss to get his end to download by trying all the
available protocols and found that only xmodem would work for him.  He
assures me that rts/cts is set.

When he logs off, my end reports a successful logoff, but the line stays
open. His is the only call that does this.  I could just wait for TD to do
it's auto 15 minute reset to close it I suppose.

I'll give him Bill's string and see if that fixes it.
