That seems odd.  What is the name of the program?  The worst I have seen
using just 'dd' was a 20G drive that had more then a few bad blocks and
that took less then an hour.  I managed to find what the person needed from
it and recovered just those files from the resulting mirror so that he
could install it to a new drive ... and then probably trash that one.

There is a place in Vancouver that charges over $1000 for this sort of
thing.  Unreal eh?
