I cannot say emphatically that this holds true for Merlin, but it has for
2.1/3.0 -- but Boot Manager must reside in a primary partition. It is
approximately 1MB, and if set active allows you to load any operating system
installed in it's menu using OS/2's FDISK, or PM-FDISK program. I believe
that you can set it up at the end of freespace (I have always installed it
first, then partitioned out the drive using the install diskettes for OS/2,
formatted the OS/2 part HPFS to keep MS software from messing with it and
hen
loading either Win95 or MS-DOS depending upon client wishes, culminating in a
normal install of OS/2 after resetting boot manager as the active partition.)
