Hello Mike.         ...I think I've done pretty well on my first
entry in the new "Longest wait before replying in MooseChat" contest.
Having said that, I'm going to ask for a quick favor at the end of
this message that involves a fast reply from one of you Western or
Southern Meese.  (Please note that this particular fast reply will not
be held against anymoose entering the contest.)  So, moving right
along...

Well, I don't want to tempt fate but, aside from the occasional "blue
screen of death" incident, it's liveable.  'Course the "minor detail"
is that I'm not running 24/7...

Still, the one thing that might worry me is that Win98 regularly has
trouble managing the apparently difficult "shut down" process.  Go
figure, eh?

over most your feedback on Windows XP versus Windows NT, other than a
quick "thank you."

Waitaminute!  I thought Win95/8 started out as OS/2 v3, minus the sexy
HPFS file system.  ...Or, was Win95 descended OS/2 v2 ?  (Not only are
all these "cousin" operating systems starting to seem almost
incestuous, but it's also getting very hard to keep the various
lineages straight.

Right you are.  The question I don't want to answer is whether that
laughter is from honest amusement or the result of hysteria resulting
