My son tends to do this, also. I don't know if it is the ADD itself, or
something separate. Certainly my son has two problems that contribute to
this behavior: he does not easily appreciate other people's emotions, body
language, etc.; and he believes that wishing makes it so. The former is
definitely allied with ADD, although I have it without (apparently) the ADD;
the latter may be unrelated.
