I just replaced my stepson's hard drive with a larger one. I
used Norton ghost to do it, the 32 bit version that runs in
windows. It's the enterprise edition.
Normally I use my old version that runs only in dos, but his
computer only has a provision for 1 HD, and that version is not
real good with USB. If he had a cable with two plugs, or I could
find my spare, I could have done it easily. I was in a hurry so
I took three times as long to do it than if I had just waited to
find the right cable. Dang!
However, with Ghost, made an image, then wrote it to the new
drive. And he got the new drive running immediatly, and the
image is stored on a second partition.
