so what if the guy is using your web server and his mailer attempts a mail
transfer? that won't work if you block in the firewall based on IP only...
it would seem to be better for the application to reject multiple
connections from the same mailer... binkleyterm, frontdoor, binkd and other
mailers certainly do this with their busy semaphores... if the semaphore
already exists and isn't too old (if they have an option for semaphore
age), they will reject the incoming connection with something like
"BUSY" or "No servers available"...
