Yes, I'm (now) aware that modifier keys do not repeat - as I already
mentioned in the post you responded to.

No, modifiers do not cause different keycodes.  Characters, yes. Keycodes,
no.

I'm sorry, but I'm at a loss to what you are trying to tell me here.  And I
still do not know what that "Autorepeat" response was for. :-|
