all amiga can do this even the first a1000 did it, but that was when
kickstart was just 256K :)

later it jumped to 512K, and i belive the 3.9 rom kode can be in 768K, the
kickstart space have being reserved upto 2M address space, but all roms
just use 512K, why is this important ?, it is for a600 where there is just
1M chipram :/

loading 3.9 rom code into ram there would be slow and downgrade a a600 to a1000 :)

that was what a3000 did when there was just beta versions of 2.x roms in
development, it could use 1.3 from rom (in chips) or softload a kickrom
from a file in devs:

i have seen no a1200 boot any cdrom drive without hack, but cd32 do this,
so its not impossible to do it, it just not made :/

and lastly a1000 and a3000 can use a floppy kickstart to load the kickstart
into the computer, i remember all this from friends tell me all the time :)
