-=> Quoting Ben Perkuhn to Frank Croft <=- FC> Over the last couple of weeks I have been having real difficulty with FC> terminal programs, win95, and my modem. BP> i had the same problem turns out QEMM and Magnaram was the one BP> causeing the problems so i took both off and it works fine now. Dont know what qemm and magnaram are. My problem seems to be that under modem properties there are 'two com2 ports' listed, so I dont know which to pick as they are not distinguishable in any way. Furthermore, system devices, lists only one com2 port. And, if I remove the modem, and com2 port, I can still load up terminate in win95 and get the modem to answer the line. Have a look under your modem properties and let me know what you have there I have: com1 com2 com2 two com2 ports. I can remove one with control panel->settings->system, but the other one seems to be invisible. ...
