Thanks for the offer.  In the long run, I might be interested tho that
assumes you can configure your software to allow an actual live human
being to screen alt.moose posts before gating them to MooseChat.

UseNet->FidoNet just cannot be automated well enough to avoid some
disruption, even with the best score files or killfiles, tho
FidoNet->UseNet can safely be done automagically.

      ...In passing, this is one instance where newsgroups and echoes
having low message volume is an advantage.

For the short term, I would probably handle the "gating" myself.  In
part, this is because I have a slightly warped idea for establishing
the proper MooseChat atmosphere.  Over the first month of gateway
operation, I'd like to "spoof the dates" and then post the last couple
hundred MooseChat messages at a rate of maybe five a day.  Of course,
this "establishing a presence" seemed a more worthwhile idea when I
thought that Google Groups would have alt.moose configured.

I dunno?  Does Google take config requests?  :-/

All the above assumes we reach a consensus that "gating" would be
worthwhile.  For all I know, there a hundreds or maybe tens of lurkers
who are just dying to have MooseChat available via UseNet.  Or, maybe
not.
