I realize your dictionaries may be less than helpful here when I see
my Canadian dictionaries don't give any examples of "native" as an adjective in
combination with "a". But it seems clear to me that in this context both "a" &
"native" are functioning as adjectives modifying the noun "speaker".
The only other point I have to add WRT this example is to remind you
that even though "I" is capitalized in English, other pronouns aren't.
