subject: What`s `HST` mean?

DD>> Futher to the above, I have thoughtfully typed in the Australian

 DD>> User's Addendum for you :-)

FF> Why thankyou. Now let me show you why it doesn't apply to my Courier :-)

 DD>> USRobotics

DD>> The Intelligent Choice in Data Communications

 DD>> COURIER V.32 terbo Modem

FF> My Courier has written on its front panel "Courier Dual
Standard V.34 Fax

 FF> with

FF> V.32 bis". You could therefore quite successfully argue that
my modem is

 FF> a

FF> different model from yours, and not subject to these conditions. See

But it is a very simple matter to order a new face plate from USR.

Some of the Austel modems actually came with 2 face plates

Add the one you want to... and call it what you want..Its still

approved by Austel.

 DD>> TELEPHONE PORT

DD>> The User's Manual refers to the use of a second telephone port on the

DD>> modem. This port is not available on your modem.

FF> Mine is and works fine.

FF> This shows that my Courier is physically different from yours, so I would

 FF> not

FF> be subject to these conditions.

 FF> [rest deleted]

FF> Technically, my Courier should have a different Austel permit number from

 FF> yours, (but probably doesn't).

 FF> Mine is A94/25F/0328.

The latest Austel Couriers DON't even HAVE a sticker.
