Hey Nicholas!
NB> For the first time in awhile, I'm actually a little excited to
NB> start a new tinkering project. :)
That is what I was thinking too except I think I'll hold off for a little while
longer.
NB> The only thing I could come up with is the Pi3 is a Broadcom chip,
NB> and the OD-C2 is a Amlogic chip.
Could be but offhand that doesn't seem to me to be the difference why one would
be more condusive towards getting an aarch64 enviroment off the ground.
NB> If you want an AArch64 system, consider the ODROID-C2.
I believe I ran across that too. Still seems odd to me though.
NB> Supplied? I don't believe the kit I got comes with a microSD card
Ah! I thought they all did.
NB> http://archlinuxarm.org > Platforms > ARMv8 > Generic
Interesting. I'll have to check it out, especially regarding gcc and friends
versions.
NB> If all else fails, I can always use the 32bit distribution,
That was my point. All is not lost as long as aarch64 isn't mission critical
for you. However I am holding out for that possibility to be a tad more
probabllity than it currently appears to be. However if you happen to get it
working then for sure I will be highly motivated to follow suit. :-)
Life is good,
Maurice
... Help, help, I'm being repressed!
