Hey gang,
I have a question fer you all,
I'm bringing my firm's web services "in house" as part of the process, I am
installing Bordermanager for a firewall. Currently I have one file server,
it's the primary NDS reference. I'm installing 4.11 on the new server, all
goes well. It finds the existing server, integrates itself into NDS and
finds a comfortable niche in the network, synchs time, as an additional
server.
When I go to install Bordermanager and the LAN protocols are transferred
from autoexec.ncf etc to inetcfg.nlm the server loses its ability to locate
the original server.
Both servers, at this point, start beeping and looking for each other (it's
pitiful really, my original server must have been so lonely all this time -
and now it's friend won't talk to it).
I've reviewed inetcfg settings, the LAN board has the appropriate drivers
and protocols bound to it, and is on the right network number.
If anyone has any simular experience, or valuable insights, or a good recipe
to pass on, I would appreciate it.
Thank you
M. Harvey
