i (still) haven't said anything about the oil labs would rip me off..
however, if they were being paid by the vehicle manufacturers and this
testing was "free" for their vehicles, then yes, they could very
easily being attempting to "rip me off"... in this particular
instance, they would be in the position to do such... even moreso if the
manufacturer gets a (hidden) kickback from them...

but you still did not ack understanding my original (and still quoted
above) premise ;)
