Perhaps because the Pentium and P-PRO are NOT 64-bit processors... they use
64-bit memory IO, but internally, are as 32-bit as all Intel processors
since the 1986 386.
Intel and HP are working jointly on a true 64-bit processor... but it's not
here yet!
