What a time I just had. I'm running Quicken for
DOS, v8.0. I've used a Panasonic KX-P2123 dot matrix
printer and Quicken's checks. Well, last week my
printer gave up the ghost and I bought a HP DeskJet
682C. Now everything's got to be changed to fit!
I got most things working OK, but I had a time
getting Q to write checks correctly on it. Someone
told me Saturday that it couldn't be done, but I didn't
buy that!
I ended up running the checks in long ways,
printing in landscape mode. But the adjustments I'd
make to Q's preferences just didn't seem to do the job.
Even checking landscape didn't print landscape. I
finally was able to get HP to fax me the ESCape codes
and I used them to force landscape and move the
"cursor" to the proper starting points.
So far, it will only print one check correctly: if
I have more than one, I must print each separately. I
haven't had the time to figure that one out yet. I'd
be grateful for info from anyone of you who've had this
problem solved.
Thanks,
