It also works the other way too, allowing me to keep HTML as the default
and allow me to send messages as text when needed, like now.

It would be a good idea if under "options" they could have the
option not to insert line breaks in text messages.  The only way out of the
bad line breaks is to not insert my own, leaving the messages to run across
the whole screen.
