Okay, that's about three times I've seen this reference, which means 
it ain't a typo.  What the heck is this?

Spam, probably.  Froot Loops maybe, Twinkies I think might be 
popular.  There's a candy sort of thing they serve there that I've 
never tried but which looks a lot like nothing more than a waffle 
cone full of frosting.  I'd go into a sugar coma, but whatever.  They 
take fresh off the plant bananas and citrus and pineapple as a given, 
so it probably loses a lot of its "special treat" value.

Yeah, insects probably rank up there on my "Not THAT hungry" list, 
too... but cuy.... It's a psychological twinge, purely cultural, but 
still real.  It takes a deliberate effort the first few times, after 
that it's just another form of white meat.   Calamari, now... 
that's different.  That's physical; we were never meant to eat that 
stuff.

I think the only way to do that over the next few years is to leave,
