I really am enjoying this because I am having to do research (which I 
love) and learning very much along the way.  I agree with you that this 
is far more enjoyable than discussing Illich.  I may be forced to go to 
the college near here and look up WL on ERIC.  The internet has 101 
sites but I didn't visit them all.  And the computer I was using wasn't 
mine so I couldn't down load anything.  But I was able to read some of 
the articles you mentioned.  Interesting stuff....has some political 
underpinnings as well.  The religious right is behind much of the 
controversy.  At least they have their hands in the debate....
