subject: CalledBefore

Hi, Bo;

Sorry, I remember this being discussed a couple of week ago, but the exact
details elude me at this point in time. Is CalledBefore a user flag? How
are you setting it? What is your log level in max.ctl?

I am trying Real Hard to get 3.03b released. It should hav ea relatively
fool-proof build/isntall sequence now. (pardon the typing, this link is
SLOW). It also fixes several bugs in the underlying OS emulation layers,
and dramatically improves telnet performance (particularly on high-latency
links).

The new code is in CVS now, along with your changes (took awhile to
diff/think/merge it all :).

I will probably just be working on the installer today; I may also make
sopen() and nopen() case-insensitive to compensate for a few bugs between
silt and max.

I have also gotten Maximus/Squish to build under Solaris (albeit w/o binary
compatibility with even FTS-0001 packets). This will enable to me to track
bugs more quickly in the future, as I won't have to wait for this SLOOOOOW
Linux machine (takes 2 minutes just to fire up the debugger.. setting a
watch point and letting it go means I have to back in morning and see what
happened -- ouch).

The Solaris port is also good because it points out some of the glaring
linux-isms that needed to be fixed (such as glibc-specific glob(), mex
grammar broken under yacc but not bison, etc).

Wes

PS: I am still AMAZED at how fast echomail is today, compared to 10 years ago!!
