I like vi (vim) though although I had to get used to it again after using QEdit on DOS after losing access to the Sparcs I got spoiled by. NB> So I have to admit that it isn't pure NB> DOS. Right. I am not certain there ever was other the the original floppy disk utility that Gates and friend bought out. I used to have something like that but I forget now what it was. Now I just use a framebuffered app on the console called fbi that can even display PDF's, faxes and postscript files. It acts as a frontend for ghostscript. Truly remarkable. Also I can play DVD's and assorted digitized movie formats on the console via mplayer and even create (encode) a couple digital formats as well as digital sound (encode and decode), not to mention TV (watch and encode) all without a GUI. I am very special. :-) NB> I just don't do NB> it NB> much... And I hear you on the joke there... No fear here, NB> either... Same here, despite that I can. Funny how that works. Those who can don't seem to bother for whatever strange reason.
