Warning for all!
As noted in the message below, ARCserve has long recommended using
NetWare SMS.
However, you'll find that the latest versions won't restore a backup
done using SMS. They'll merge the tapes in, even let you list the
database and see long file names etc - but they'll skip the files. (No
error message - that would be far too helpful!)
I've struck this in migrating from NetWare v3.12 to Window NT v4.0, but
seen others reporing same problem on a pure v3.xx NetWare upgrade.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - something that AFAIK the *makers* of the product
(www.cai.com)haven't bothered to do.
