To me, this spring has been amazing. Tempertures have moved wildly up
and down the scale. We've had snow and hail and freezing rain
(literally all three; once in the same storm). And spring continues
progressing as if nothing strange at all is happening. The buttonwood
outside my window now has tiny leaves. The tulips are in bloom,
although they are not in bloom on my daughter's grave, much to my
disappointment. I really don't understand nature after all.

I hope this job works out as a permanent job. Meanwhile, do take good

There was a pow-wow the first weekend of April here in Jersey, but I had
other commitments and couldn't go to it. There are several things going
on the first weekend in May, although none of them are pow-wows, and I
might make one or two of them. I would like to attend the sunrise
service in Philadelphia in honor of Tanneman (probably misspelled) who
was the Lenapi mentor of William Penn; being put on by the United
American Indians of the Delaware Valley. I understand it is a very
spiritual experience, but, so far, I've never made it. Something about
leaving my house well before dawn in order to get there always,
when the hour to arise comes, squelches my desire to attend.
