Hmm, it's an old screenshot, that menu entry does not exist anymore. It was
a special service, a file list server that one node had offered. You could
enter search keywords and as a answer you got back a list of files with
descriptions and where you can request the files. He collected file lists
from several nodes, so you could search the file base of all (connected)
nodes in a simple way. But the acceptance of that service was very low and
the work to keep the lists up-to-date was high, so it wasn't offered
anymore.

But that was not a file request function.

If you read a mail with Golded and there someone offers a file you want to
request, then just press Ctrl+F (File-Request), select the file(s) you want
to request (with space you can select/deselect and with Enter you choose
the selection), then the cursor stands on the netmail folder, you press
Enter again and so often until the mail is saved as a netmail file request.
But you can technically only request files from Fido-over-IP systems.

If you know already the file you want to request, go to the netmail area,
write a new message, press Ctrl+F while editing the header and Ctrl+D for
direct (that should not be neccessary, the tosser should do that
automatically) and Ctrl+C for Crash (should also be not neccessary, haven't
tested it lately). In the subject line enter the file(s) - if there is more
than one file, seperate the file names with a space. Then save the mail,
exit Golded and start a poll. The destonation address of the node should be
the AKA of an IP node.

ADM> Another thing, there's a new point in my system using FPD :)

That's great.

See ya,
