Hi Again Bonnie. I think what he was referring to here was the Altec Lansing
Multiledia COmputer Speakers. They are a 3 peice set with the normal 2
satelite (beside the monitor) speakers, plus a seperate subwoofer. Not sure
what they have as far as speaker sizes, but they did suprise me as to the
sound they were capable of. For a self powered and reasonably low priced,
designed for computer use speaker system, they are quite good compared to any
of the other junk out there i have listened to. Fairly acurate, with
moderately good bass response when a good quality CD is played through them.
Again, they are not what i would consider Pro-Quality, but suprisingly good
for their intended use, and price range. Nore than adequate for the vast
majority of computer users that play games and such through them, or to
listen to the occasional CD while you are doing other work on the puter, just
not quite up taking into the studio to use as reference speakers. Think they
sell in the $80 to $90 range.
