Well, it's a combination of compression of a wet soil-peat mixture,
and not moving them around a lot. But once the cubes are filled with
roots (about 2-3 weeks), then I can and do shift them if necessary.
It's very easy to give friends one of this or that w/o causing major
trauma to the seedlings that remain.
