From my perspective I'd say the availabilty of much more Opensource
development in the Linux arena then in the BSD world.  Not to say that

Right.  I would agree with that.  Very confusing for sure.  I think the
trick is to know what you want and then act accordingly.  Ask around what
others use and why.

I use Slackware primarily but lately have been playing around with the
ttylinux, minimal Linux concept.  I really like and enjoy that but it isn't
what I'd call user-friendly.  Slackware is a very good choice methinks.
