I'll agree that there are some caesarian births that do stretch the
limits.  There are also plenty of them that are justifiable, and have
saved the lives of mothers, babies or both.  There's been a number of
them done in our extended family, all of them because of health or
safety issues.  Most have been emergency decisions, although one or two
were planned due to uterine thinness and large babies.
