From: Egan Orion You can also find your cdrom device in the /dev tree (mine is SCSI, so it's at /dev/scd0) and mount it: mount -t iso9660 /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrom Then, in the /images directory on CD1, you'll find the file cdrom.img and you can copy that to a blank floppy: dd if=/mnt/cdrom/images/cdrom.img of=/dev/fd0 When you boot from that floppy, it will boot from the cdrom.
