Even funnier, I thought it was 4,000 miles, but the proper way to eyeball
the status of your oil is to swipe your finger across the dipstick.  The
drawback to this is you really can't tell whether or not the oil has
maintained its viscosity.

I'm not too particular about the gas, although I have to use 93 octane, but
the oil is of utmost importance.  I use Castrol GTX 10W-30 in my Lincoln
(It should be 5W-30) and it runs like a clock.  Every few tank fulls, I add
a container of STP fuel injection cleaner to the gas.

My 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII is getting there.  My ex-woman friend says it
sits too low to the ground for her, as if that was ever a concern, since I
helped her in and out of the car.  She drives a Honda CR-V and it's kind of
nice, but I won't buy a Japanese car product.
