The April Fool's nor'easter did hit us, but it was nowhere near as bad
as it was in New England. We also had snow two days ago, on April 18th.
I think we've had more snow in April than we had all winter. Amazingly
enough, these cold snaps and snows don't seem to be interferring at all
with the progression of spring. As a matter of fact, spring seems to be
rising early more than late. It's a point of bewilderment to me. The
fruit trees have all bloomed (whether they'll bear fruit later is yet to
be seen); most of the trees now have tiny little leaves; there are tons
of flowers. Driving through snow that is laying on yellow forsythia and
purple tulips is an absolutely eerie experience.
