I just tried this here with Maximus/NT 3.01 and it did the same thing, so
it's not a bug restricted to the UNIX port.

Check the ctxt part of the message in the original .sqd file.  It will end
in 0x01 0x00 instead of just 0x00.

HPT is just doing what it's told.  I don't know why this wasn't discovered
ages ago (maybe it was?).
