I had the same problem with my Avtek 9.6. It did not connect to
Netcomm M34F and the new Banksias (I belief My fastmodem).
I did sent it to Netcomm to have it fixed, but it was not better
after. (And had a horrid time with the Netcomm "Consumer service")
Sent me your modem and $5, and I through it in the same place I did
through my modem.
I have now a now a 33.6 Netcomm Inmodem (Bulk) for $185 and it does
work Ok.
