subject: Hmm... The point?

-> I wonder sometimes what the point is to debate software piracy?
->
-> It will ALLWAYS exist. There is no way to stop it unless
-> the US gets really "Big brother", if you know what I mean.
Well then one could say whats the point, there will always be a drug
war, there will always be loadies, there will always be corruption,
there will always be greed, point it, this all feeds off one thing, what
is that one thing inside everyone that makes them do it? Greed, has to
be something deeper, theres people out there that do this stuff for many
many different reasons, lack of money, boredom, just to see if they can
or how far it can go, immaturity.
These seem to be the main reasons for it, the lack of money well heh
that would be a discussion all in itself, boredom would be easily fixed,
kids get done with theyre school stuff and come home to house with a
computer in it and no ones around, what a perfect scenario, or you get
off work and come home to an empty house and nothing to do but use the
computer, dont want to pay for the art stuff you always wanted to do so
what do you do? Steal it? How do you get people like that to stop?
Another one I couldnt answer. Then theres the people that do it 'just to
do it' heh that persons motivation/drive whatever really will tell how
far they will go, cannot really stop curiosity. Immaturity, heh get the
stupid kid in a baseball game not a computer get him interacting with
other kids or reading in the library or something...
Theres my opinion on the piracy thing. Everybody make piracy into a big
thing these days, we have much bigger problems in this country other
than piracy, we should try fixing the original problem we shut out and
then these problems would fix/heal themselves.
joe.
