The setup is not evil in and of itself.  It's all the other crap associated 
with it.  Github has had issues in the past (do a web search for "github sjw 
issues" and you'll see what I mean).  I do have an account with Bitbucket but 
I am pondering just setting up my own Github repo when my living situation 
allows it.

Though, with Cheepware, I may decide to just put everything in a big ARJ 
archive and let it loose.  A lot less overhead for me.
