Never did the diskette install other then to kickstart the install procedure from a HD partition or later on via nfs from a networked drive partition. That worked best methinks. To this day I still install from a hard drive no matter what boot method, now usb flash disks. I haven't used floppies in ages and managed to ditch CD boots now. Did a DVD boot only once and decided not to pursue that further. Speaking of DVD's, I heard Sony got sued due to copyright protection on their DVD's totally screwing up PC's. I got a chuckle hearing that. Sure glad I never got suckered in by them. :-) Life is good, Maurice --- Msged/LNX 6.2.0* Origin: The Pointy Stick Society XXVII - More then one I in tea (1:261/38.9) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 261/38 123/500 379/1 633/267 |
