Hey Tony!
TL> OK, I don't quite subscribe to the same logic, afterall, I had a
TL> 64 bit capable processor (x86 style) before I had a 64 bit OS.
Which is the exact opposite to the situation here, where a 64 bit OS was built
on a 32 bit system before there was a 64 bit cpu. Although I didn't know it at
the time it indeed did work as far as a kickstart to the real thing. I am
hoping to replicate that except this time the cross-compiler host machine is
way ahead of the game which wasn't the case the last time many, many years ago.
TL> However, each to their own.
Something like that.
TL> Well, if yo're already trying to cross compile 64 bit kernels,
TL> perhaps you do need to but a 64 bit capable ARM system. :-)
We'll see but I think I now have something going which may tell the tale as far
as where I seemed to be headed with this idea. As for the 64 bit arm system
the new year looks good. I am in no rush.
Life is good,
Maurice
