As you might have noticed, so am I. But I like the macro touch, so instead
of pure dos commands, I cheat by using Norton commander. I hate windows for
the same reasons you stated and more.
The nice thing about QMP153 is that they can still be run under Win95, in
other words if you have Win95 or any other windows, you do not need a Win ver
of QMP to use QMP.
Now all that is needed for dos users to do it to convince ALL dos programmers
there is still a market for dos programs. Mustang will continue to upgrade
QMP-dos if it looks like their will be a market. That means that not only do
they want to recoup their investment, but mae a sizable profit. So
we dos users must continue to PUSH ALL dos based programs or people like Bill
Gates will push us out of DOS forever. To do this, we have to convince dos
makers like MSI there IS a market. I have already lost a Dos based maker for
a program and that is Norton Commander, their V4.0 is the last it is now
discontinued in the dos mode. :((
