Yes, I can remember all the good times ..... I still cry a little but not
constantly now. I remember the day that you and Charlie came over and
watched our Quadrill practice. "Baby" was being sooooooo good that day!!

She was certainly a "looker" for sure!! Everytime I rode her people
would come up just to admire her. The last time I really was able to ride
her was in the Swamp Cabbage Parade here in LaBelle in February. I'll never
forget the man who rode up alongside me and commented that I was NOT using
any kind of tie down and only riding with a little broken bit ..... "and,
said he, "she's so well behaved" -- really made me feel good!! We really
didn't NEED to use anything harsh .....she did what I ASK her to do

This is true. Actually, "Baby" wasn't my first -- Little Tuffy (the
pony) was the first ... then came Shammie - "Baby" was actually the 3rd horse
here. But, for some reason she was always my favorite ....... don't get me
wrong, I love ALL of them .... just loved "Baby" the best.

Thank you for writing, Shirley ..... I do miss "Baby" so much ....... but
I've been riding Shammie for the past few days - it's done BOTH of us good to
get out for a trail ride. I'm going to ride X this evening (sure wish "Baby"
were here for me to ride though ).
