Recently I told the WinNT version of Squish to do a rescan on some areas
that had been gated from a mailing list. A couple of the messages were
bigger than the limit, which I'm fairly certain was 256 K (at least, that
was the default limit, unless it is fixed). The reason those messages were
so large was because they contained both the plain text and HTML parts of
the e-mails, and the people sending them didn't bother trimming any of
their quotes, and just top-posted.
But ordinarily this isn't a problem.
Incidentally, it was HPT that tossed those messages in the first place, but
I was using Squish to do the rescans because HPT requires you to add a link
before you can do a rescan.
