Hey Ben!
BR> I have a couple of RPi3's if you need someone to test a kernel I
BR> can try.
Maybe. First I need to gain a tad more confidence about the toolchain and on
that note I thought I give a git version of crosstools-ng which is building
it's first aarch64-rpi3-linux-gnueabi on ye ol' octacore atom as we speak. I
figure this is the quickest way to see where there might be some problems and
so far it is working away quite happily. The latest report claims, "Installing
pass-2 core C gcc compiler". So far so good (version 6.1.0 for the record).
My host gcc os 6.2.0 and I might upgrade the aarch64-rpi3-linux-gnueabi if this
works out well.
BR> I have the RPi's write-up on how to implement a new kernel
I think I have that similar doc but until I get the cross-compiler working
we'll have to wait. Also I have a doc on how to build a custom kernel using
the crosstools' aarch64-rpi3-linux-gnueabi so think we might see some action
soon. I think I might wait until January before taking the plunge myself.
Life is good,
Maurice
