Every time ld config runs, it moans about it, so I changed it, and no no more 
complaints, no idea if it is problematic or not.

There have been times when one or more of these did not compile either here, 
hpt, htick, sqpack, smapi, fidoconfig, ie the programs I use

./configure tells me I need a working smapi in order to compile it, smapi 
compiled fine here, but due to not having an editor (MsgEd), I have been 
unable to test if it is working, but seeing as it compiled fine, I assume it 
is working.
