That wasn't it. In fact I reverted back to hold rather then normal and
found what the appropriate settings for the Link section for each
point/node ought to be. The key settings in this node's config turned out
to be the flavour and arcnetmail although I could have just gotten away
with jst setting "Flavour". Here is an example of my point's
Link entry on the node and an appropriate later route call in the node's
config file;

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Link Maurice Kinal
Aka 1:153/401.1
EchoMailFlavour Hold
netMailFlavour Hold
arcnetmail on
AutoAreaCreate On
AutoAreaCreateDefaults -p 14 -dupeCheck move -dupeHistory 11
AutoFileCreate on
forwardRequests on
Packer zip
================================================================

route hold 1:153/401.1 1:153/401.1
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The above works great. Instead of the EchoMailFlavour and netMailFlavour I
could have just set "Flavour Hold" but am planning ahead to see
if I can fine tune them individually so that netmail is crash and echmail
hold.  Just for fun.  :-)

Also I remap all the points to the appropriate name and address so that
netmail ends up in their netmail instead of the node's netmail. That
ensures privacy as well as takes into account all the abandonware out there
that cannot get that part right. :-)

Anyhow it all seems to be working now in the testing phase so it is time to
turn it up a notch and to start playing around with areafixing.

Life is good,
Maurice
