The second OS I was forced to learn was Unix, albiet not BSD, and it was the OS that made me take interest in computers and what they can really do as opposed to what others wanted me to know about their computer(s). DOS almost ruined that for me but as luck would have it both Linux and FreeBSD got me back in sync with Unix after I was on my own computerly speaking on ye ol' 486. I was ready to give up on computers. So what's your excuse?
