Because my time is limited, and development time under C++ Builder is at
least 10 times quicker than the next best thing, and I am very familiar
with it, whereas I'm not at all familiar with other multiplatform GUI
systems for C++.
My main aim is to write a decent FidoNet reader for the Windows GUI,
because I don't think one exists yet.
So far the closest thing I've seen to what I'd like is FleetStreet for OS/2.

If Java weren't so slow to execute on my development machine(s), and if I
had a RAD (Rapid Application Development) environment for it, and if I
didn't have to rewrite the MSGAPI in Java, and if I actually liked the Java
language itself, I might consider doing it (ie. snowball's chance in hell).
