Fortunately for the security of the world, my clansmen are scattered 
to the winds today.... but we did the "family" thing last weekend, so 
today a couple of friends are dropping by at their own schedule so as 
to join in some of this huge pot of 3-alarm chili con carne I built 
last night.... after an entire overnight simmer in the crock pot from 
hell it smells like bordering on five-alarm.  Not to worry, there's 
two six-packs of Dos Equis Amber in the fridge, plus enough coffee 
for all and any stray passers-by....  and meantime I'm cleaning 
house, reading back newspapers, and puttering about in the darkroom.

In short, this is a perfect day.  Mid-40's outside and sunny, I 
think....

Happy Season Of Your Choice with appropriate appeals to whatever 
Deities might seem most useful.....   In the absence of deities, good 
luck and keep your heads down and your asses covered;  it's a jungle 
out there.....

And stay off the roads because the drivers are psychos!!!!!!!!
