Paul,

In NASCAR drivers are a bigger part than F1 or any series that allow =
telemetry from the car. It isn't so much the driver's skill at handling =
the car (still very important) but his/her ability to understand what is =
going on with the car and relay it to the pit crew in terms they can =
understand.

  differential between the fast and average. No seatbelts also helps in =
