They make a halter/bridle combo. They make 'em out of
leather, too, but we have a nylon one for Bo. Dave wanted nylon
since he plans on using Bo for hunting. Since you've switched
to a low port curb, you might want to look at one. Got ours at
K & S Saddlery. I've also seen them in some of the tack
catalogs. I think the leather ones are proclaimed to be 'Aussie'
bridles or something like that...
We never let ours graze with a bit in their mouth, nor
tie by the reins, so this setup has proved to be really
convenient. A little sleeker looking that the bridle over halter
combo, as well.
